During my fifteen years of presenting & producing the breeding industry television programme 'The Ford Report' (1993 to 2008) I filmed scores of stallions; none - and I mean none - had the walk of the great High Chaparral. So when I saw that same sort of head-turning fluency in the walk of a filly by High Chaparral's son Wrote at last year's Karaka Book Two Sale, I had to have her. That filly is now known as BEST SELLER and was recently second in the Gr.2 Matamata Breeders' Stakes.
So I returned to Karaka yesterday to look for another. I found that same walk-to-die-for in Lot 751, the Wrote filly from Brookbars (Bullbars). I was stoked to secure her for $21,000 for a Wellington-based client as not only does she have the walk & athleticism I look for, but a great pedigree too. Her second dam is by Royal Academy, the third by Sir Tristram & the fourth by Bletchingly.

One of these three is 'back-at-the-knee' and it's not the horse & it's not the handler!
