Fifteen years of my life, from 1993 to 2008, was devoted to presenting & producing 'The Ford Report' for TAB Trackside. It was a magazine-style television programme providing a weekly window on the thoroughbred breeding industry of New Zealand and Australia.
I'm delighted to announce that TAB Trackside has kindly agreed to me running segments from the archives which total 1053 programmes. This commences today and will continue via my website & social pages every Friday going forward.
We begin with a piece on SAVABEEL which first aired 10 September 2005. The W S Cox Plate winner had been secured for stud duty by Waikato Stud and I spoke to both Garry & Mark Chittick about his purchase and what he offered to the marketplace. A key question was did they believe he had the potential to be the very best sire son of Zabeel?
