Proud moment for Challenge Racehorse Syndications

I can't tell you how good it felt to get my hands on the New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Filly of the Year trophy when it was presented by the sponsors last Friday. As a racing purist, winning this much-prized trophy with Jennifer Eccles was the pinnacle of my career to date and such a proud moment for her big group of owners across New Zealand.

Jennifer Eccles won four Group races during her three-year-old season to claim the title - namely the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai New Zealand Oaks-Gr.1 (2400m), Little Avondale Lowland Stakes-Gr.2 (2100m), David & Karyn Ellis Classic-Gr.2 (2000m) and Sky City Eight Carat Classic-Gr.2 (1600m). She was also second in the Gavelhouse.com NZ 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 (1600m), third in both the Barneswood Farm Soliloquy Stakes-Gr.3 (1400m) & NZB Desert Gold Stakes-Gr.3 (1600m) and fourth in the Hawkes Bay Breeders' Gold Trail Stakes-Gr.3 (1200m).

Jennifer Eccles kicked off her 4YO campaign with an excellent fourth in the Tarzino Trophy-Gr.1 (1400m, WFA) and returns to Hastings this Saturday for the Windsor Park Plate-Gr.1 (1600m, WFA).
