NZ 1000 Guineas runner-up Jennifer Eccles (Rip Van Winkle) returned from Christchurch via NZB Airfreight and was immediately rested at Paul Pertab's five star agistment facility on the outskirts of Matamata.
She has thrived during her short break and trainer Shaune Ritchie & I inspected her yesterday afternoon (see photo).
She will return to the stable tomorrow and be readied for phase two of her three-year-old campaign which begins with the $100,000 Ladies Mile-Gr.2 (1600m) at Ellerslie on Boxing Day.
Owned & raced by the Challenge No.10 Syndicate, Jennifer Eccles is in second position on the NZB 3YO Filly of the Year Series behind Loire.
