2020 New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Filly of the Year Jennifer Eccles (Rip Van Winkle) will return to competition in Saturday week's Dunstan Feeds Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes-Gr.2 (WFA, F & M, 1400m) at Pukekohe.
Last season's NZ Oaks winner has had two runs this season, resuming with a fourth placing in Callsign Mav's Tarzino Trophy-Gr.1 (1400m) before an out-of-character unplaced effort in Melody Belle's Windsor Park Plate-Gr.1 (1600m). The half-million dollar earner was sent for a two week break with Luke Pertab in South Auckland and has returned to the stable a happy horse.
Jennifer Eccles is owned & raced by the Challenge Ten Syndicate from the Cambridge stable of Shaune Ritchie & Colm Murray.
