The Shaune Ritchie Group One-performed stablemates Bella Mente and Jennifer Eccles will both be ridden by James McDonald at Ellerslie on Boxing Day and the pair completed their preparation at the Cambridge Training Centre this morning.
They were on terms throughout 1000m on the Course Proper, running home the final 600m in 36.5 seconds.
Bella Mente (El Roca) contests the Shaw's Wire Ropes Uncle Remus Stakes-LR (1400m) while Jennifer Eccles (Rip Van Winkle) tackles the SkyCity Eight Carat Classic-Gr.2 (1600m).
