The next thee races for Jennifer Eccles - who won then lost on protest last Saturday's Taupo Pak'n Save Fillies 1100 at Hastings - have been decided.
The Rip Van Winkle filly will return to Hastings 21 September for the $70,000 Hawkes Bay Breeders' Gold Trail Stakes-Gr.3 (1200m, 3YO Fillies), which is also the first leg of the New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Filly of the Year Series.
Safely through that race Jennifer Eccles will return to Ellerslie where she was Stakes-Placed third in the Auckland Futurity Stake-LR (1400m, 2YOs) last season. Her new season outing there is scheduled for 26 October where she will tackle the $70,000 Partners Life Soliloquy Stakes-Gr.3 (1400m, 3YO Fillies).
Jennifer Eccles will then be set for her key target, the $300,000 Gavelhouse.com 47th NZ 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 (1600m, 3YO Fillies) at Riccarton Park, 16 November.
Trainer Shaune Ritchie reports that the filly has come through Saturday's Hastings assignment in excellent heart and she was back at the Cambridge Training Centre yesterday morning for a light canter.
